ApnaGarage ("we," "our," or "us") provides a mobile application that helps garage owners and their staff manage vehicle repair jobs, customer records, and service communication. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
- INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you use ApnaGarage, we may collect:
- Account Information: Your mobile phone number (used for OTP-based login), name, and garage business details (garage name, address, type).
- Customer & Vehicle Records: Information you enter about your own customers and their vehicles (name, phone number, address, vehicle number plate, model, and service history) in order to provide the app's core functionality. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to store this information about your customers.
- Photos: Photos you take within the app of vehicles or job-related documentation.
- Voice Input: If you use the voice-input feature, your speech may be processed to convert it to text. [Confirm with your developer: if audio is stored, describe retention; if only transcribed and discarded, state that explicitly here.]
- Device Information: A device identifier is collected and linked to your account for security purposes, to ensure your account can only be accessed from the device it was originally registered on.
- Usage Data: Information about how you use the app (e.g., features accessed, jobs created) to help us maintain and improve the service.
We do NOT collect precise or approximate GPS location. Any city/state information used in the app is manually entered by you during setup and is not derived from device location services.
We do NOT collect or process any payment card or financial account information, as no payment gateway is integrated into this version of the app.
- HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the app's core features (job tracking, customer history, reminders)
- Authenticate your account and protect it through device-based security
- Send service reminders and business communications to your customers via WhatsApp, on your instruction
- Improve app performance and troubleshoot issues
- Comply with legal obligations under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
